Tyga has settled his debt, and Kylie Jenner had nothing to do with it

Tyga has been undergoing legal examination of his finances over the last few weeks after celebrity jeweler Jason Arasheben, known professionally as Jason of Beverly Hills, won a judgment against him for payment for a diamond pantheon watch and diamond Cuban link chain stemming from a lawsuit in 2013.

Although there have been a few hiccups along the way — Tyga had to leave the examination because he wasn’t well enough to proceed during questioning about his extravagant spending habits, including his expensive and very public gifts he bought for girlfriend Kylie Jenner — it appears that his legal troubles are finally behind him.

According to TMZ, Tyga has been very obliging and has already paid back half of the $200,000 ($100,000 plus interest) that he owes to Arasheben. His lawyer reportedly appeared in court on Tuesday, Nov. 1 and told the judge that Tyga has made significant payments on his debt and that the remainder will be paid back by Nov. 17.

Jenner was reportedly subpoenaed in connection with the lawsuit, but this latest development means she will no longer be required to participate. And for any who thought that it was Jenner footing her boyfriend’s bill, well, they’d be mistaken, because according to TMZ, they’ve been informed that Tyga is paying off his debt himself.

This is great news for Tyga because, unfortunately, his financial troubles have become common knowledge and have been well-documented over the years (including the repossession of his cars and being sued for unpaid rent). However, this could be a turning point in the rapper’s life, and he may finally be able to bid all his legal woes goodbye.
