Lena Dunham has a new argument about the election, and to be honest, it doesn’t really make sense. Like, at all.

Dunham, who’s one of Hillary’s biggest supporters, tried to make the argument that a vote for a third party is a vote for Donald Trump. But she did it by sharing a sex story that was apparently some kind of analogy about sleeping with Jill Stein or something. And did I mention it doesn’t make any sense?
Dunham shared her thoughts on Instagram in a post that has now been deleted. Lucky for us, it was screen capped for posterity and shared on Twitter.

“When I was 22 I fell in love with an older guy.,” she wrote. “He had a girlfriend but we still had sex, just often enough for me to think he loved me too. So I devised a plan: I would stay single until he was available. I would just tough it out and be ready whenever. But after he and his girlfriend broke up, he got a different girlfriend. We kept having sex. Then he got another girlfriend. We had sex slightly less often. He kept girlfriends, and I kept waiting, and it took me way too long to realize I was alone and only getting alone-er. That’s basically your vote for Jill Stein. Cuz she’ll be fine doing what she’s always done. And you’ll have Trump as a president.”
So, hold on. Is Jill Stein the older guy here, or is it Trump? Or are all the girlfriends supposed to be Trump? Or is Dunham Trump? Are third-party voters having sex with Jill Stein? You guys, everything about this is confusing. If you can figure it out, please explain to me down in the comments.
