Kendall Jenner catapulted her followers into extreme panic mode

Kendall Jenner, are you OK?

That’s the question pretty much all of Jenner’s social media followers are asking today, after she mysteriously deleted her Instagram on Sunday.

The account vanished with no warning or explanation from Jenner. Going to her old Instagram page just brings up a site that says, “Sorry this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.”

The surprise move sent a lot of Jenner’s fans into a complete panic. Tons of them headed to Twitter to try to get to the bottom of Jenner’s disappearance from Instagram, but she hasn’t commented there about what made her decide to up and ditch the photo-sharing site.

Even though it probably would have been polite of Jenner to give her fans a heads up, there is a likely reason why she deactivated her account. She’s said in past interviews that she likes to take social media breaks when she finds she’s spending too much time glued to screens.

“I definitely have close friends, and even some family members, who are so connected to their phone and can’t get off of it,” she told Allure magazine, adding that it happened once when she was on vacation with Kylie Jenner. “I was just zoning out, taking it all in. And Kylie wouldn’t put her phone down. I’m like, ‘That’s so crazy to me that you’re not experiencing this.’ That was the moment it kind of clicked for me. And I didn’t like it. So sometimes I delete Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat off my phone for a couple days.”

Even though deleting the Instagram app from her phone wouldn’t cause her account to disappear and Jenner is still on Twitter and Facebook, people should probably stop panicking over this. I mean, there are actual problems in the world to focus on.
