Update: Dec. 1, 5:33 a.m. EST: After weeks of rumors about their marriage being on the rocks, the news has finally been confirmed: Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie Shay filed for divorce from her husband, Mike Shay, on Nov. 30, Us Weekly reports.
The couple also released a statement to the publication about their split, which read, “While we have made the difficult decision to move forward separately, our story will continue on through the love and mutual respect that we have cultivated throughout our 15-year friendship. Much of the recent speculation and reporting on our relationship has been misguided, and we have come to an amicable decision on all matters. We might have failed at our marriage, but we are committed to succeeding as friends and will continue to support each other’s personal happiness and professional success.”

There’s more bad news for Vanderpump Rules‘ Scheana and Michael Shay.

The two have been facing rumors about their relationship for years, but they seem to have intensified lately, saying that Shay has been taking money from the couple’s joint account and disappearing on drug and alcohol benders.
Now, a source close to both parties is telling In Touch Weekly that Scheana and Shay are officially ready to call it quits, two years into their marriage.
“Scheana and Mike are living separately at the moment. He’s been staying with his family. They are headed for a divorce,” the insider claims.
Apparently, the problem is, once again, Shay’s struggle with addiction. The source says the first sign of trouble came when Scheana noticed that “a lot of money began disappearing from their joint bank account.”

The insider adds, “Mike needs help. Scheana believes that he’s drinking and smoking pot again. He insisted he’s sober and wants people to believe he’s innocent of everything. As much as Scheana loves him, she just can’t be with someone like that.”
Shay’s addiction issues first came to light during Vanderpump Rules‘ fourth season, when Shay disappeared to his family’s home and didn’t even speak to Scheana for a week. When he finally returned to her apartment, she had all their friends waiting to host a sort of intervention.
Shay promised then to stop using drugs, but continued to drink heavily throughout the season. At the Season 4 reunion, he revealed that he hadn’t had alcohol in several months. Rumors have been flying for weeks now that Shay relapsed and it’s been putting strain on his and Scheana’s relationship, but both of them denied it on Instagram.
