If you thought Kanye said he supported Donald Trump, you weren’t listening

Kanye West is getting more and more political.

According to live tweets from people who were at his most recent Saint Pablo Tour show in San Jose, West stopped several songs to go on long political rants — one of them stretched on for almost an hour.

“This is my platform, and I’m going to talk about the paradigm shift that’s happening right now,” fans say West said before launching into 40 minutes of political speech.

It’s hard to say exactly what point West was trying to make because he contradicted himself several times throughout his rant. But it seems like the takeaway is pretty much that he supports Donald Trump because he’s revealed how racist the country really is, and that it’s inspiring West to make a presidential bid in 2020.

The most complete livetweet of the night came from @RaptorJesuss, who described how Kanye kept starting songs and then stopping them to talk politics before eventually just cutting his show off early.
