Some rescued baby turtles are really thankful for Prince Harry today

Prince Harry, who’s in the middle of a two-week state visit to the Caribbean, spent his Wednesday giving back by helping to release some tiny rescued baby turtles into the ocean.

The adorable photos of Harry and a whole bunch of tiny turtles were taken at Lovers Beach on the Island of Nevis. Other volunteers joined Harry on the beach to help out the tiny reptiles.

The Nevis Turtle Group’s Sea Turtle Conservation Program had nested the baby turtles before organizing the event to release them into the wild. The program is working to involve international volunteers and the local community to save the sea turtles, which are endangered.

The sea turtle event isn’t the first time Harry has made headlines during his Caribbean visit. Earlier this week, he was teased at a public event by the prime minister of Antigua, Gaston Browne, who invited the prince to spend his honeymoon in the Caribbean if things work out with his new girlfriend, Canadian actress Meghan Markle. The awkward moment happened in front of 300 guests, and Harry was visibly uncomfortable when he heard the joke.

Harry’s visit to the Caribbean, which began Sunday in Antigua, marks the 35th anniversary of independence in Antigua and Barbudo, and the 50th anniversary of independence in Barbados and Guyana. By the end of the two-week trip, Harry will have visited Antigua and Barbuda, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, and Barbados and Guyana.
