Gaga showed her support for West with a series of tweets on Wednesday Nov. 23, when she took to Twitter to slam those who have been mocking him over his recent hospitalization (he checked into the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Monday, Nov. 21) for a health scare believed to have been caused by “exhaustion and sleep deprivation.”

Gaga told fans that this wasn’t a time to be making jokes about mental illness because even though she does not agree with everything that West does, she does realize that it’s times like these that he needs support, not belittling.
It's not funny to joke about anyone's possible or not possible mental illness, this is a sensitive time for many. Let's be kind & loving. ❤️

We’re always glad to see artists uplifting and supporting each other, especially when it’s over something as serious as this, and Gaga is reminding everyone of the way that we should all be acting in this situation — offering our support.
