In the wake of her split from fiancé James Packer, there have been a lot of rumors about what exactly is going on with Mariah Carey and her backup dancer, Bryan Tanaka.

And it’s possible that there’s more to the flirting rumors than we originally thought, because according to Us Weekly, Carey was recently spotted kissing Tanaka during a trip to Maui, Hawaii — following her three shows in Honolulu.
Carey and Tanaka were reportedly at Maui’s Grand Wailea Resort when things got steamy. An eyewitness told the mag, “They were all over each other, making out and not wanting to be more than a few feet apart.”
The whole outing sounded pretty romantic. The eyewitness explained that they were swimming in the ocean when Tanaka picked up Carey and kissed her. The pair then apparently walked on the beach holding hands and Tanaka even gave the singer a piggyback ride.

“They had a lot of fun together, and were very playful,” the eyewitness continued. “She was kicking up the water to splash him, and he was laughing.”
While the rumors of romance between the two were previously denied and we were lead to believe that they were just good friends, this outing may have changed all that. The source also claimed that Carey looked both happy and comfortable in Tanaka’s company. So, while we can’t be certain if they’re going to become Hollywood’s hottest new couple or not, it is good to hear that after such a messy breakup, Carey is at least having fun.
