Is Nick Cannon trolling Mariah Carey on Instagram?

Right after a bunch of pics surfaced confirming Carey’s relationship with her backup dancer Bryan Tanaka by showing them playing in the waves on a beach in Maui (and seriously making out), Cannon posted his own steamy throwback pic of himself and Carey playing on a beach.
Cannon’s snap looks a lot like the photos that hit the net earlier this week — he’s holding a laughing Carey in his arms, his own head thrown back laughing, both of them soaked from playing in the water.

“#TBT This is how you do it! LOL,” he captioned the pic, along with the hashtag “#WePetty.”

Cannon’s followers — and Carey’s fans — were pretty quick to assume that Cannon posted the photo to troll his ex-wife, and the comments they left on the pic weren’t nice about it.
“Nothing cute about a man expecting a baby but still has time to troll his ex,” one follower wrote. Another added, “Oh snap Nick baby you know you didn’t loose anything by her being with that new toy. Don’t stoop so low.”
Cannon was quick to respond to the hate, and wrote in his own comment, “It’s all love! No hate! But damn we looked Amazing!!!”
So was he trolling or was this just a lighthearted dig between friends? Considering how friendly Cannon and Carey have remained since their divorce, I’m going with the latter.

But what do you think? Was Nick Cannon just playing around by posting this throwback pic with Mariah Carey? Or was he actually dissing her new relationship?
