According to Page Six, Kurt Iswarienko is suing his wife Doherty’s former business managers, Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson claiming they “ruined his intimate life” with Doherty when they let her health insurance lapse in 2014. The lapse reportedly led to a delayed diagnosis of the breast cancer Doherty has now been fighting for nearly two years.
Doherty actually sued her former management herself for the insurance lapse. She filed her lawsuit in August of 2015 asking for $15 million in damages. About a year later, she settled with the company, though the amount she was paid was never disclosed.
Iswarienko is also accusing Doherty’s former management and one of its partners of mishandling his money. He says they secured bad loans for him, and because of them, his credit is ruined.
Page Six says a rep for Doherty didn’t respond to a request for comment about the new lawsuit.
Meanwhile, Doherty is continuing with her cancer treatments. Last week, she posted a photo from her first day receiving radiation, admitting to fans that she was scared of the new step in her treatment.
“First day of radiation treatment,” she wrote alongside the photo, which she shared on Instagram. “I look like I’m about to make a run for it which is accurate. Radiation is frightening to me. Something about not being able to see the laser, see the treatment and having this machine moving around you just scares me. I’m sure I’ll get used to it but right now…. I hate it.”
