The Kardashians take legal action against Blac Chyna to protect their brands

Blac Chyna has always had kind of a messy relationship with the Kardashians. But is that going to stop her from officially becoming one of them?

It turns out that marrying Rob Kardashian isn’t going to nab Chyna the coveted name like she may have planned. TMZ has reportedly obtained documents that show that Chyna is already trying to legally change her name to Angela Renee Kardashian — and trademark her new moniker — but Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashianaren’t going to let it happen without a fight.

The documents reportedly say that the Kardashian sisters are fighting Chyna because letting her use the Kardashian name would cause the family’s brand to “suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill.” They also claim that Chyna’s move to trademark her new name just proves that she’s “deliberately seeking to profit from the goodwill and popularity” of the Kardashian family.

If that seems harsh, it’s because it is. Still, the Kardashian have reason to be a little suspicious. Chyna’s decision to trademark her new name right out of the gate isn’t exactly promising the family that she’s not in it for the profits. And then there’s Chyna’s admittedly messy history with the family — before she was engaged to Rob, she had a baby with Tyga, who is now dating Kylie Jenner.

Page Six also reports that Chyna’s mom has been lashing out against the Kardashians on social media after being called a “loose cannon” on their show. After writing that she didn’t want to be included or mentioned on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she added, “To be talked about like this for ratings! WHERE THE F–K IS MY CHECK?”
