There’s a new bride-to-be in theReal Housewives of New York City circle: Dorinda Medley says she’s getting married to controversial boyfriend John Mahdessian. Yes, seriously!
Medley spilled the news to Radar Online while hosting the Celebrity Page Holiday Party in New York City, revealing, “I’m getting married!”

During the interview at the event, Medley opened up about the pair’s relationship. “Our lives are just so busy and hectic in New York that any downtime is great time,” she said.
“The thing about New York is that it is so intense and there are just so many people. One of the biggest luxuries for John and I is that we just get to be together,” Medley also told the news outlet. “We like to do normal things and just hang out together: watch TV, go for walks and, of course, cook.”
“She says that she is the peanut butter and I am the jelly, but together we are amazing,” Mahdessian said.

As Real Housewives viewers know, Dorinda’s first husband, Richard Medley, died of kidney failure in 2011.
“After Richard passed, I just try to move forward. Life is life and you have to go with it. It is not about the bumps,” Medley said. “It is how you deal with the bumps.”

Back during Season 7 of RHONY, Mahdessian proposed to Medley on-camera, but she turned him down. It sounds like she has finally changed her mind! We’ll have to just wait and see if wedding bells do end up ringing in the pair’s future.
