Lamar Odom is back in rehab

Lamar Odom is back in rehab — but it’s apparently not what you think.

According to E! News, Odom admitted himself into a San Diego, California facility so he could focus on the next chapter of his life.

“It was his own decision,” a source told the outlet. “He wanted to work on his mental and physical health for the next chapter of his life. He has not fallen off the wagon, but he understands the importance of maintaining his sobriety.”

It has been over a year since Odom’s near-fatal overdose at a brothel in Las Vegas. He was only expected to live for mere hours following his hospital admittance, but he beat the odds.

Since his recovery, there have been rocky reports about Odom, including some that he was living on the streets.

But sources denied the rumors to E! News, “Lamar’s not homeless. He has a nice place in California. He is doing well. He is determined to stay on the straight and narrow and wants to be the best father he can possibly be and he is doing the work required to achieve that.”

Odom’s ex-wife Khloé Kardashian, who stayed by his side throughout his overdose recovery, has yet to comment on the news that Odom has entered rehab. Though the two have been separated since 2013, their divorce was only just finalized three days ago.

I can’t help but wonder if the divorce finality is what drove Odom to seek help.
