It could take years to find & bring Kim Kardashian West’s robbers to justice

Kim Kardashian West’s robbery in Paris, France, on Oct. 3 has become one of the most-talked about robberies of the year, but there has been little discussion about whether police are any closer to finding the culprits — and according to a new report, the case won’t be closed any time soon.

While Kardashian West seems to be doing better after her break from the public eye — she made her return to the spotlight on Monday, Dec. 12, thanks to her appearance in Love magazine’s annual calendar — the leads in her case appear to be pretty cold. As a source told Us Weekly, “Two months on and we’re nowhere near finding who the robbers are.”

The source continued, “You could call it strange, but actually it can take many months, even years to solve a heist mystery. There’s a lot that goes on beyond the initial evidence collecting. … It can take a long time.”

However, Kardashian West has reportedly been updated on any relevant information via her legal team. So, what do we know? The publication notes that La Brigade de Répression du Banditisme, a special division of the French Ministry charged with investigating armed robberies and related crimes, has been investigating the incident, and the police seem to be confident that the assailants will (in time) be brought to justice.

While it may seem odd that the robbers have not been brought to justice, with a case as high-profile as Kardashian West’s, we’re pretty sure the pressure is on the police task force to find the guilty parties, and it’s likely that in the future she will have justice. For now, though, we’re glad to see that Kardashian West appears to be doing a bit better (even if she has yet to make a public appearance or return to social media).
