If you tuned into the Grammys last weekend, you probably caught a glimpse of Elle King looking like a beautiful fairy princess as she walked the red carpet. Yeah, we know we’re being cheesy, but there really isn’t any other way to describe how she looked in that floral dress and crown.
King was nominated for best country duo/group performance with country heavyweight Dierks Bentley for their collaboration “Different for Girls.”

“She’s who I wanted and I got her,” Bentley told People of nabbing King to sing on “Different for Girls” with him. “It’s the perfect person with the right song. It’s not a standard country song. It took the right person to make it come alive, and she was the person so I got really lucky.”
Obviously, Bentley is a fan. And after learning a little about King and hearing her truly unique voice, now so are we. Here are some things to know.
1. She was high AF at the Grammys
Apparently she ate one too many pot muffins before hitting the ceremony.
“Sometimes when you’re accidentally high af from pot muffins, you don’t realize you’re A FUCKING SNAPCHAT FILTER until after the Grammys and people tell you,” King captioned an Instagram pic of herself looking a little squinty-eyed on the red carpet.

Remember when we said we couldn’t think of a better way to describe her look than “beautiful fairy princess”? Yeah, we were wrong. “A fucking Snapchat filter” pretty much nails it.
2. Her real name as in Tanner Elle Schneider
As in Rob Schneider. Her dad is freaking Rob Schneider. Twenty bucks says King gets really high and watches her dad’s movies all the time.
3. “Different for Girls” wasn’t her first Grammys rodeo
“Different for Girls” may have been her first nomination in the country category, but in 2016, King received two Grammy nods: One for best rock performance and another for best rock song (both noms were for her single, “Ex’s & Oh’s).
4. Comedy is obviously in her blood
She may be in the music biz, but it’s clear that she inherited some of her father’s physical comedy chops. We could watch the above video of her on repeat for about 48 hours straight.
5. She could probably kick your ass
King is into boxing, and we sure wouldn’t want to mess with her.
“The body is an incredible thing. We all have different bodies. I’m learning so many new things about mine. My whole life I felt trapped in this temple, incapable of physical strength and endurance. And yet every day I push myself harder. What a humbling and loving realization that we can always do more. @jaketylerbrodsky is a driving and encouraging force,” she wrote in an Instagram caption (Jake Brodsky is her boxing trainer). “Anyone can do anything if they have the will to do it, but sometimes it takes someone to believe in you for you to believe in yourself.”
6. She’s a mega Golden Girls fan
King recently demonstrated how much she loves the girls in a video for Hulu.
“Honestly, a lot of things have been checked off my bucket list. But being a golden girl for a day felt like how it would feel if Ryan Gosling let me kiss him on the mouth,” she wrote on Instagram.
Any fan of The Golden Girls is a friend of ours.
7. She’s the cover queen
We can’t get over King’s mashup of Nick Jonas’ “Jealous” and The Weeknd’s “I Can’t Feel My Face.” Amazeballs.
