Dev Patel stole hearts at this year’s Academy Awards. From bringing his mom as his date to sharing a sweet moment with fellow Brit Andrew Garfield, the boy charmed his way into our psyches. We all wanted him to be our emotionally sensitive boyfriend who will probably already have dinner on the stove (likely a meal that’s actually nutritionally balanced) and our favorite show playing on the TV (definitely Friends) when we get home from a long day at work.

But alas, today our dreams were dashed. It looks as though Patel is involved with Australian actress Tilda Cobham-Hervey if the shots of the two of them holding hands and looking almost too cute to handle are any indication.

But who is Tilda Cobham-Hervey other than the luckiest girl in the world? Here are five things you need to know about her.
1. She and Patel met on the set of the upcoming movie Hotel Mumbai

The film is an American-Australian thriller about the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai. It started filming in August in Adelaide, Australia — Cobham-Hervey’s hometown — and moved to Mumbai after that. Patel and Cobham-Hervey stopped at local cookie and coffee shop Oh Dough in Mumbai for what were no doubt well-earned desserts.

2. She’s been acting since she was 16
In her first ever role in the Australian movie 52 Tuesdays, Cobham-Hervey plays the daughter of a trans man in the midst of his transition. She was an astonishing 16 years old when the movie was filmed, and it received acclaim when it premiered at Sundance. The filming process was a bit unorthodox, though. The movie took place on Tuesdays every week for a year, and so did the shooting. Try explaining to your teachers why you’re out of school for one day every week of the year.
3. She started off in the circus
Cobham-Hervey’s background is in performance — but not necessarily film. She started in the Australian children’s circus troupe Cirkidz when she was 9 years old, only leaving seven years later to film 52 Tuesdays. She told the Sydney Morning Herald that her specialties were hula hoop, trapeze and acrobatic pitching. The storytelling aspect of circus performing is what led her to acting.
4. She was the face of Australian department store Myer’s “Find Wonderful” campaign
In 2014, Cobham-Hervey fronted an ad campaign for Myer, which as far as we can tell is like the Australian Macy’s. The ad is more like a short film (as she pointed out in an interview with the store’s blog) and is actually pretty fun to watch.
5. She doesn’t like being called an “actor”
On multiple occasions, Cobham-Hervey’s said being described as an actor throws her off. She told Harper’s Bazaar Australia that, sure, right now she does act, but she’d like to tackle multiple forms of storytelling. Fair enough, but if her career trajectory keeps going where it’s going, she might be the hottest Australian actor since, you know, that one who was in that thing with her boyfriend.
