The adorable new(ish) couple met up in South America where The Weeknd is on tour — Gomez flew in to meet him in Colombia and then they both flew to Brazil. The scenes from their arrival at the São Paulo airport are totally bananas.

Rabid-looking fans already figured out the couple’s flight plans and met them at the airport and apparently also found the hotel where they’re staying and mobbed them there too.
That kind of crazy attention looks way too intense. Sure, they’re celebrities and they have to expect it to a certain extent. But the way they were being surrounded and screamed at by so many fans while they were just trying to get out of the airport looks like a massive pain — and one that has the potential to break them up.
Think about it: If your relationship had to face that kind of stress on the daily, what are the odds it would last? That looks exhausting, and our bet is neither of them can keep putting up with that kind of strain for long. Everyone just have some chill already.
Luckily, though, for now, everything seems OK with our new fave celeb couple.
