Jennifer Lawrence Is Keeping Her Relationship on the DL, but We See Them

The world may not be totally on board with romances that come with big age gaps (we could care less), but Jennifer Lawrence is fine with hers.

The 26-year-old Hunger Games actress and her beau, 48-year-old Darren Aronofsky, may have a 22-year age difference, but they’re not letting it get in the way of their romance. Sources say things are getting more and more serious for the couple, who has been dating for about five months now after they met when Aronofsky directed Lawrence in her upcoming film, Mother!.

“Jennifer is comfortable with an older guy because she is mature and focused,” a source told People magazine. “Jen has been mesmerized by his talent and brains since she started working with him.”

Even though the two are separated by a long distance, they’ve been working through it and finding ways to spend time together. Lawrence has been living in Budapest, where she’s filming Red Sparrow, and Aronofsky recently visited her there. And when Lawrence had time off from filming, she jetted off to New York City, where she and her man were seen strolling hand in hand and going on movie dates.

Despite being so happy together, they’ve been trying to keep their romance out of the headlines as much as possible, another source said.

“They are very sweet together and seem happy,” the insider told People. “They hold hands. They keep to themselves and don’t seem to want a lot of attention.”

The source also said their romance works because they’re both equally focused on their careers.

“Jen is a serious actress and being around another person in the business who is intense about what he does has been good for her,” the insider explained. “I don’t know how far it will go but as of now they are a really good match, two talented people who love their work and are respected for it.”
