There’s a lot to love about Chris Blue on The Voice. His vocal range is exceptional. He is fascinating to watch. And he consistently delivers, regardless of the circumstances. It’s no surprise, then, that he killed it during tonight’s live shows — and we expect him to continue to do so as he takes the next step on this incredible reality TV journey.

This evening, Blue took on a memorable Rihanna tune — in the same key that Rihanna originally sang it. Wow! He used his personal life as inspiration for his performance. He said that he could easily relate to the song due to his long-distance relationship. Not only must he strive to maintain the romance with his fiancé while she resides in the United Kingdom, he has to face constant worries about her health since she is currently battling bone marrow cancer.
The personal connection clearly aided Blue in his rendition of “Love on the Brain.” His performance was touching. He drew us in with his personal pain and his desire for a better future for him and his fiancé.

Thankfully, The Voice is not leaving us in suspense; we already know that Chris Blue is part of the Top 12. He was one of six artists identified this evening. The rest of the Top 12 will be determined tomorrow. Blue will have some tough competition, but we know that he’s more than capable of making his mark as the finale approaches.
We are so glad Chris Blue gets to continue on with The Voice. We can’t wait to see what else he has to offer.
