New Love Actually Reunion Promo Is Here & Includes Laura Linney

May 25 is fast approaching, and you know what that means — we finally get to lay eyes on the new Love Actually “sequel” we’ve all been dying to see since the news broke. And with a new teaser trailer featuring Laura Linney (who was noticeably absent in the U.K. release of the mini-film), we couldn’t be more excited to mark the passing days off our calendar.

Titled Red Nose Day Actually, the mini-film is part of a brilliant campaign to raise awareness and money for Red Nose Day, which seeks to put an end to childhood poverty.

As you likely now by now, the U.K. version of the film aired in March… but it did not include Laura Linney or her hunky love interest, Rodrigo Santoro. However, the just-released teaser trailer for the U.S. version features Linney’s character — where else? — sitting at a desk somewhere.

Plus, the word on the street is that Linney gets a new paramour in the mini-film, and it is none other than McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey. Seriously, we wouldn’t kid about such things. Check out this tweet from writer Emma Freud, who also happens to be married to Love Actually director Richard Curtis.

Like the U.K. version, the U.S. reunion sequel will last only 10 minutes, give or take, and will offer a glimpse into where the beloved characters from the 2003 film are now. This includes Liam Neeson and Thomas Brodie-Sangster’s father-son duo of Daniel and Sam, Keira Knightley and Chiwetel Ejiofor’s not-so-newlywed anymore couple Juliet and Peter, Andrew Lincoln‘s love poster-holding Mark and more.
