Kim Kardashian Is Confident She & Caitlyn Jenner Will Kiss & Make Up Soon

Between Kim Kardashian‘s robbery at gunpoint, the implosion of Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship with Scott Disick and the pointed tell-all penned by Caitlyn Jenner, it hasn’t exactly been an easy year for the Kardashians. But according to Kim, things could be looking up soon — the reality star is confident she and stepdad Jenner will end their recent rift any day now.

Although Kardashian has long enjoyed a close relationship with Jenner, particularly when Jenner first shared her decision to transition, the once-chummy pair have been decidedly icy to each other since Jenner released a tell-all memoir that made Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, look bad.

In a teaser clip for the June 20 episode of The View, Kardashian admits to being shocked by Caitlyn Jenner’s behavior, explaining that her problem with the memoir was Jenner “putting some things out there that weren’t true or didn’t really make sense or were hurtful… when I feel like at the end of the day, my mom and Caitlyn had a 25-year relationship and you have to have some respect for it.”

Kardashian noted that she didn’t want to discredit Jenner’s feelings or perceived experience, but she personally felt that the entire family witnessed some things that contradicted Jenner’s account. “It was just a little bit surprising to me,” she said.

However, Kardashian remains convinced that things will all be resolved soon. “We’re not that kind of family,” she said. “We’re just taking a breather. We’ll get it together. We have siblings. It’ll work out.”

To Kardashian’s credit, she routinely chooses to have a positive outlook, and that includes the brouhaha with her stepdad. She doesn’t hesitate to give credit where credit is due when it comes to the part that Jenner has played in her life.

“She’ll always be my stepdad and always be a person that raised me and taught me so much in life. [She] stepped up to the plate, took over for my dad when he passed away, and I’ll never forget what Caitlyn instilled in us as kids and was a part of who I am today,” Kardashian said. “I’ll never forget that. She’ll always be a part of me.”

It will be interesting to see what Jenner has to say about the matter when she co-hosts The View on July 13 and July 14.
