Kesha is back! The pop star teased a new album and a single called “Praying” with some exciting Instagram posts to make a grid on her account, spelling out “The Beginning” with a dreamy, groovy vibe to the whole thing.

Unfortunately, the singer has been out of music for almost five years since she filed a sexual assault lawsuit against her producer, Dr. Luke, that led to controversial contractual issues and a lot of heated uprising against the producer. Along with the sexual abuse, Kesha has also claimed that she was emotionally and mentally abused by him during the time they worked together. The legal battle is still relevant, most recently because Dr. Luke filed a defamation suit against Kesha’s mother, Pebe Sebert.
But today, Kesha turned the news back to herself by posting about a new album for the first time in five years. Along with the grid, she posted an Instagram video today with very exciting news.

“My new song, ‘Praying,’ is coming out tomorrow. And I couldn’t have done this without you. I fucking love you,” says Kesha.

Most of the posts on her Instagram that lead up to this have come with no captions, giving no real details about the exciting and beautiful pictures she shared. But fans have jumped to the conclusion that Kesha is coming out with a new full-length album; we can only hope that all this teasing will lead to that!

Although, what music can we expect from Kesha after everything she’s been through? With a title like “Praying” for the first single, it seems like it will be a much more somber style than the party-girl persona that we’re used to. A change in performance seems fitting, though, seeing as Kesha has been through a lot. No matter what kind of music it is, true Kesha fans will be behind her the entire way.
