There are some actors I avoid like the plague. Show me an Adam Sandler movie, for example, and I’ll show you a 33-year-old woman walking out on your Netflix and chill night faster than you can say, “Little Nicky.” There are also actors who I love. Actors who I will gladly see in any movie they appear in. We’re talking Meryl Streep, Ryan Gosling, and yes, Will Ferrell.
I don’t know how to explain it, but despite avoiding man-children as a general rule, I love every bananas man-child that Ferrell plays in every movie, TV show guest role and SNL skit he’s ever done. Maybe it’s his unhinged intensity, maybe it’s the fact that with his curly hair and blue eyes, he kind of looks like an overgrown toddler. Whatever the reason, Ferrell’s comedic chops mean that basically, any line he utters becomes instantly quotable.
