It goes without saying that Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay will end her Bachelorette season engaged; audiences have known this since before the first episode aired. What we didn’t know is that, compared to some couples of Bachelor franchises past, she’s in a hurry to get down the aisle.

“We actually haven’t talked about a date because we just want to get to know each other. We’re like, “When can we be in public? When can we go to the grocery store, grab coffee, go to the movies?'” Lindsay told reporters at this year’s ESPY Awards. “I’m thinking maybe next year, the end of next year maybe. We’re not rushing it but sooner than later.”
That’s far different from the last few couples to come out of the series. Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi are still together but not talking marriage. JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers have been vocal about their desire to date, court and get to know each other before they take any further steps, even though they’ve been engaged for more than a year.

There’s still a few weeks left on Lindsay’s season, so we still don’t know who the lucky guy is that she chooses. But she’s clearly head over heels if she’s this anxious to get hitched.
As for the wedding? She’s not putting too much thought into the specific plans quite yet.
“Are you ready for this?” she said. “I have never been the girl to plan their wedding, picked out the dress. I’m like, “What are we going to do for the party? What kind of music are we going to have? Who’s going to be there? Where’s it going to be?'”
