One Lucky Human Will Have Dinner With Kate Winslet & Leonardo DiCaprio

I don’t know about you, but the idea of being able to have dinner with two celebrities who also happen to be best friends and who starred together in one of the greatest movies of the ’90s kinda sounds like a dream gig. So imagine my excitement — and seriously, you should get excited about this too — when I learned that this was actually a reality: Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio are auctioning a dinner with them for charity. One lucky person will literally dine, Titanic-style, in a first-class situation with Jack and Rose. Pinch me!

Here’s the deal: The dinner is part of the range of items being auctioned off at DiCaprio’s gala fundraising event in St. Tropez. Sadly, this means us mere mortals will have to scour social media and the news for details on who won and what was discussed at what will probably be the most exciting dinner date ever. It’s nice to know, however, that the proceeds from this auction are going to a good cause. As People magazine reports, the money raised from this dinner as well the other items auctioned will go toward both the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which focuses on environmental causes, as well as a Winslet’s own charitable efforts in cancer research and the assistance of the GoFundMe campaign Winslet has been involved with to help one young woman battling cancer.

E News made mention that due to the restrictive schedules of both DiCaprio and Winslet, the dinner will most likely take place in October or November. Additionally, there’s a good chance that they might just be going out to dinner with another celebrity since many of the attendees are already quite high-profile, like Lenny Kravitz, Marion Cotillard, Tom Hanks and Jared Leto.

So basically, not only is one of our favorite celeb friendship duos reuniting, but they’re also doing it for a charitable cause. I mean, it really doesn’t get any better than that.
