Jennifer Aniston & Jason Bateman Prove They’re the Best Best Friends in Hollywood

Just when you thought you couldn’t like Jennifer Aniston or Jason Bateman even more, along comes a moment reminding you that — aside from being fantastic on their own — these two are total #SquadGoals.

On Wednesday, Aniston was front and center at the ceremony honoring Bateman with a star on the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. In paying tribute to her longtime pal, the Aniston slayed the crowd with a speech that was equal parts touching and funny.

Speaking to Bateman’s “nine lives” in the industry, Aniston said, “One thing has proven itself to be true and that is that having longevity in this business is not easy, especially starting off as a child actor. Usually that’s a story that doesn’t end well. And, when I actually met Jason, it was kind of looking like it could go either way.”

Ha! And she didn’t stop with that zinger, either.

She pointed out that not only does he have “a head of hair that even women envy” (true, true), but he also seems to be in possession of the Fountain of Youth. “It’s like, ‘Is he young? Is he old?’ He looks 12 but acts 100,” she quipped.

In addition to jokes, Aniston brought props. In referencing her buddy’s staying power, she pulled out a bevy of — real talk — LOL-inducing throwback photos from the course of Bateman’s career. Apparently, his coif has always been his calling card.

Naturally, Aniston worked some genuine sentimentality into her speech. Because, again, #SquadGoals.

“He’s a fantastic partner in crime, the most generous man that makes the world laugh and cry on a dime,” she said. “Oh, and he’s a vicious negotiator. I have been in the room and I have witnessed it. Do not poke that bear.”

She ended on a similarly sweet note, telling Bateman of the Walk of Fame star, “This will probably be the only time that you’ll allow people to walk all over you.”
