Apple Music is airing its first-ever television show tomorrow with the premiere of Carpool Karaoke: The Series, a spinoff of the popular Carpool Karaoke segment on The Late Late Show With James Corden. The 16-episode first season will pair celebrities together as they drive about town and will include John Cena, John Legend, Alicia Keys, Jessica Alba, Ariana Grande, Jeff Gordon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Metallica, Shaq, Miley Cyrus, Will Smith, Chelsea Handler, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner.
How are we planning on getting excited for the new show? Let’s start with a walk down memory lane and our favorite moments from Carpool Karaoke over the last three years. Buckle your seat belts and ready your singing voice.

Sia and James in matching wigs
Sia may not like to show her face, but she sure does like commuting. Not only does Sia hit all of the amazing high notes in “Chandelier,” James also dons a matching wig. Other highlights include Corden talking to Sia about her belief in aliens and asking for a few voice lessons. Spoiler alert: Sia believes in aliens, but she’s never seen one herself. Maybe because her bangs are in the way?
Sir Elton John sings, with costumes, plus amazing harmonies
On a terrible rainy day, Corden picks up the utterly delightful Sir Elton John to help him get to work. They sing everything from “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” to “Crocodile Rock” to “Tiny Dancer.” The pair put on boas and fun glasses while John explains why he was so drawn to costumes in the ’70s and ’80s (he couldn’t dance and he wasn’t a heartthrob). But the best part might be when the Lion King hit “Circle of Life” comes on and both start belting it out (with Corden wearing a mane).
Justin Bieber solves a Rubik’s Cube and sings his early hits
Even the biggest Bieber haters might be won over by this 10-minute ride, in which Corden and the pop sensation return to some of Bieber’s earliest hits (and change clothes). We prefer this one over Bieber’s second visit to the show for an obvious reason: at one point, Bieber solves a Rubik’s Cube in the passenger seat while Corden looks on in total, complete amazement.
Gwen Stefani, George Clooney and Julia Roberts sing Queen
This reminds us of a dream we once had in which James Corden, Gwen Stefani, George Clooney and Julia Roberts are all smooshed into a car together, singing “We Are the Champions.” Wait, no, that was real life. And that’s not even the only great part of the segment. Stefani also stops to teach Corden the super-fast lyrics in “The Sweet Escape” and explains her love of emojis.
Stephen Curry sings Disney tunes like all of us everywhere
Not all of the best carpool karaoke moments have amazing professional singers. In fact, one of the most-loved episodes is with Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, who is one of the best shooters in the sport. Curry also proves he is deeply likable as the pair drive around Los Angeles. Curry admits that what he listens to in the car is whatever his 4.5-year-old wants, and soon Curry and Corden are wailing the lyrics to Moana and Frozen songs.

Lady Gaga belts it out
Perhaps the most wonderful thing about Carpool Karaoke is seeing the biggest stars sing in a regular old car, without any help, any lip syncing, and only a late-night host as backup vocals. Some of the talent is better than others, and Lady Gaga brought it. Whether singing her newest hits from Joanne or her biggest hits of yesteryear, Gaga’s raw talent is on display. We also love Corden recreating some of her classic looks.
A car packed full of Broadway stars, with Lin-Manuel Miranda in the passenger seat
We are here for this. This episode begins with Hamilton creator and genius Lin-Manuel Miranda and Corden singing from Miranda’s Broadway hit. Then the fun really starts when Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Jane Krakowski slide into the back seat and transform the car into a talent boat. The finale is a wonderful rendition of “One Day More” in which we can see Ferguson’s tonsils. We could watch it over and over again.
Katy Perry reveals who “I Kissed a Girl” is about, and yep, she can sing
On one of the most recent episodes, Katy Perry and her new short haircut jumped into Corden’s car and Perry was ready to sing all of her greatest hits, including her new single, “Bon Appetit.” She jokes that her new pixie cut was inspired by the late-night host and tells the story of who “I Kissed a Girl” is really about (and no, it’s not really Scarlett Johansson).
Stevie Wonder takes the wheel — and shows off his pipes
Listening to Stevie Wonder sing live is cool enough, but it turns into a top 10 Carpool Karaoke moment when Corden calls his wife on the phone and Stevie serenades her until Corden is moved near tears. Bonus points for the gag where Wonder gets into the driver’s seat.
Adele sings Niki Minaj’s “Monster”
Adele. Adele! Adele singing! We all knew Adele is amazing and can sing better than basically anyone on earth, but we didn’t quite know how amazing she was or how well she could sing in a car. This is our favorite Carpool Karaoke moment for so many reasons, but mainly because she and Corden get along so well and because she is just absolutely magnetic. Her rapping game, which is on display as she sings Niki Minaj’s “Monster,” is more than impressive. Also: the harmonizing during “Hello” reminds us that Corden is not a half-bad singer at all.
