So This Is What Fixer Upper‘s Joanna Gaines Has Been Up To

Can’t get enough of Fixer Upper star Joanna Gaines’ gorgeous farmhouse-chic style? Well, here’s something to go ahead and get excited about — the Waco home maven just revealed she is currently in the process of putting together a design book.

Although not a total shocker (fans figured this was coming at some point), the timing of the news does come as a bit of a surprise. Lately, Chip and Joanna Gaines have been largely focused on promoting Chip’s upcoming memoir, Capital Gaines: Smart Things I Learned Doing Stupid Stuff.

Perhaps Joanna was giving Chip the space to get his book completed and through the bulk of the promotional appearances before dropping the news of her own sure-to-be hotly anticipated tome. The Fixer Upper host seemed to suggest she couldn’t wait to share the news of the book, which was a long time coming.

In an Instagram post, Joanna shared a sneak peek into the book, saying, “Day 1 of shooting images for my design book! I got so giddy when we captured the first few photos. We have been preparing for this book for so long, and I’m excited to finally see it take shape.”

“Looking forward to the new book. [You] have a fabulous gift. Thank you for sharing it,” one fan wrote.

“Everything you touch turns to gold,” another astutely noted.

And yet another asked the question currently on all our minds: “Can you pre-order your new book?”

Here’s looking forward to a future filled with lots of shiplap, open shelving and farm sinks.
