Tamra Judge Is ‘Sad, Worried & Pissed Off’ About Skin Cancer Diagnosis

Just after a new season of The Real Housewives of Orange County started airing, Tamra Judge has some scary news. She’s been diagnosed with skin cancer. She revealed the news of her diagnosis on her Instagram alongside a mirror selfie in some very short shorts that showed the cancerous mole on her butt cheek.

“I work out hard for this booty,” Judge wrote. “I was planning on competing again in November at 50 years old, but I’m not sure that’s happening now. [I]t looks like God has a different plan for me. I’m showing you this picture because this is what melanoma looks like. I don’t want sympathy, I want you to save YOUR ASS and get your skin checked. This was just a small black flat freckle…I had no idea! I’ll be fine because my faith is strong and my Ass ain’t bad either.”

She thanked her dermatologist, who works at California Coastal Dermatology, and then added, “I’ve been a little sad, worried and pissed off. But we caught it early and that makes me happy.”

The news came close to Judge’s 50th birthday, which she was planning to spend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She admitted that partying there was “not sounding like a good idea now,” and urged her followers to get skin checks.

Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers in America, and 1 in 5 Americans will experience it at some point in their lives according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Melanoma, the kind of skin cancer Judge says she has, is the rarest and most deadly form.
