Tarek El Moussa Posted From Route 91 Harvest Festival Before the Mass Shooting

Followers of Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa‘s Instagram may know that he was at the Route 91 Harvest Country Music Festival in Las Vegas where Sunday night’s deadly shooting took place. In hindsight, the caption he wrote alongside the photo he posted of himself and a pair of friends at the festival feels ominous. “#Lasvegas #route91harvest LOVE…. Country Music!!! Vegas is always a blast!! Hope I make it home,” the HGTV star wrote at approximately 6:02 p.m. PT, mere hours before the first shots were fired at approximately 10:08 p.m. PT according to CNN. To be clear: El Moussa was most likely writing his caption, with special attention to his comment about making it home in reference to having too much fun at the concert as opposed to intentionally sounding ominous.

El Moussa has since confirmed that he is safe following the shooting through his Instagram story. We’re unsure if El Moussa was actually at the festival when the shooting began or if he left earlier in the night.

Either way, El Moussa’s comments on news of the shooting are sobering. “So, I just left the Route 91 country concert in Las Vegas,” he told his followers on his Instagram story video. “I’m safe but there was an active shooting. Many people shot and killed and just really, really sad. So kind of bummed right now. Sucks that things like this happen. Have a good night.”

Additionally, in the wake of the shooting, El Moussa posted another photo to his Instagram asking for prayers for Las Vegas while detailing his memories of last night.
