Lisa Vanderpump has not had an easy two weeks, and it has nothing to do with the latest drama on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Vanderpump, an avid animal lover and vocal supporter of animal rights, is mourning the loss of not one but two furry friends, her dogs Pikachu and Pink Dog. The sweet pups died within two weeks of each other; surely a tough blow for Vanderpump and her family.

Vanderpump elaborated on her dog’s death in a statement to US Weekly.“It was unfortunate timing to lose two of our furry children in six days. Pikachu was suffering the last few days, so it gave us some solace when he passed,” she shared. “The carers at VCA treated him with love and compassion and he is now at rest. In light of recent tragic events, it makes me appreciate even more the huge comfort that our beloved pets give to us in this very sad world.”

Fans have been reaching out to the reality star to console her and welcome both of the dogs over The Rainbow Bridge, from the name of a poem that is often quoted to console grieving pet owners.
Vanderpump’s love for animals is well known and she is an animal rights activist. She even opened The Vanderpump Dog Foundation back in 2016 to rescue dogs and create awareness about the horrific abuse and slaughter of dogs for the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
May Pink Dog and Pikachu rest in peace.
