What makes this story even sweeter, though, is that the honeymooners shared their apparent joy — snapping smiling selfies with fans. One such fan shared a photo scored with the couple at Bologna’s Osteria del Cappello restaurant.

It may have been a rough summer for love, but fall is already looking up, because word on the street is that Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander got secretly married! The two were spotted in paparazzi photos wearing wedding bands on Sunday, leading news outlets to do some investigating, and the leading theory is that they had an under-the-radar Saturday ceremony on the Spanish party island of Ibiza.

Both stars were spotted on Ibiza along with a bunch of their friends and family on Friday. Fassbender and Vikander were seen looking casual and happy as they hung out on various parts of the island. Later, their mutual friend Steve McQueen, who directed Fassbender in his 2011 film Shame, was seen at a party at the Yemanja restaurant Friday.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Fassbender and Vikander said their I dos at La Granja farmstead resort, a luxurious getaway spot. Neither of the actors or their reps has commented or confirmed the rumors, but if that location is legit, we just need to see some photos. That is one beautiful couple in an equally beautiful location.

This has definitely been a long time coming. Fassbender and Vikander met in 2014 when they filmed The Light Between Oceans together, where Vikander played Fassbender’s wife. Pretty much immediately, rumors started flying that they were dating, but they played coy and kept their relationship under wraps for a while. Now, though, we know how meant-to-be it truly was. Was it love at first sight? We can only hope.
