In 2017, somehow, some people still think rape jokes are OK. And in this instance, it’s even more heartbreaking because the people currently getting dragged hard on Twitter for making a tasteless joke about all the rape accusations against Bill Cosby are none other than Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles.

J2, as they’re known to their fans, seem so woke. But at Creation Entertainment’s Official Supernatural Convention in New Orleans over the weekend, they dropped the joke, even though it was clearly against their better judgment.
In response to a question from a fan, which was reportedly difficult to make out, Padalecki whispered something in Ackles’ ear, to which Ackles replied, “No… no, you can’t say that.” Fans in the crowd apparently begged Padalecki to tell the joke, even after he told them, “My jokes are all really offensive.”

“No, Mr. Cosby,” he replied.
Hilarious, dudes. It’s not like Bill Cosby is accused of actually drugging, assaulting and raping more than 60 women or anything. Ugh.
Luckily, I don’t have to spend too much mental energy on explaining why this was unacceptable AF, because Twitter has been doing it since it happened. But this one pretty much sums it up.

Yep, those super-hilarious rape jokes are actually traumatic and truly damaging to victims. So funny, right?
