Emilia Clarke is no stranger to getting naked on TV. Her role on Game of Thrones has required that since the very first episode when she stripped down prior to her wedding. And fam, she wants y’all to just calm the hell down about it.

“I’m starting to get really annoyed about this stuff now because people say, ‘Oh, yeah, all the porn sites went down when Game of Thrones came back on,'” she said in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
Clarke continued, saying she doesn’t understand why GoT comes under such fire for its nudity when other popular shows bare just as much skin.
“I’m like, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale?’ I fucking love that show, and I cried when it ended because I couldn’t handle not seeing it. That is all sex and nudity,” she said.

At the end of the day, she thinks, it just isn’t the big deal that people make it out to be. Sex is normal and natural, so depicting it on TV just makes for a more realistic show, right?
“There are so many shows centered around this very true fact that people reproduce,” she said. “People fuck for pleasure — it’s part of life.”

She’s not wrong, you know. And viewers know what they’re getting with a show on HBO — it’s been a premium cable for ages, which means all the stuff that can’t go on regular TV, they can show. Sometimes that includes nudity, but does it really need to be something to get up in arms about? Everyone has a body. Odds are you’ve seen those parts before they showed up on your TV screen. And if you’re really not into it, well, there are plenty of channels besides HBO.
