Former President Barack Obama brightened up the holiday season for about 50 middle schoolers at the Jelleff Boys & Girls Club in Washington, D.C., on Thursday. According to The Washington Post, Obama dressed up as Santa, surprised the kids with gifts and then catered to everyone’s selfie requests. That guy!

In a photo shared by Obama, he’s clearly all smiles in a Santa hat and a leather jacket — definitely a good look for the former commander-in-chief.

Obama’s communication director Katie Hill also showed a video of the former president surprising the kids. You can hear them excitedly saying, “Obama! Obama!” as he enters the room with a sack of gifts in tow.

Education is a platform both Obama and his wife, Michelle, have continued to support — even after leaving the White House. And not only have they both surprised kids a few times now with visits, they also launched the Obama Foundation to support young leaders throughout the country. Are they hiring again yet??
