Congratulations are in order for Paris Hilton. The reality star just got engaged, and like so many other things in her life, her proposal was seriously extravagant. Then again, what else would we expect from the socialite and bedazzled star of The Simple Life?

Hilton has been dating actor Chris Zylka (best known for his role on HBO’s The Leftovers) for nearly two years even though they met eight years ago. They were on a holiday ski trip in Aspen, Colorado, when Zylka popped the question at the top of a snow-covered hill with a crazy view of mountain ranges in the background.

“I said Yas!” Hilton wrote on Instagram to announce the big news followed by a string of wedding-related emojis. “So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend & soulmate. Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist.”

According to Hilton, who relayed the news to People magazine in an exclusive interview, he managed to pull off a total surprise proposal. “I was so excited and surprised! I immediately said yes!” she told the magazine.
Zylka also clearly knows how to pick out a ring per his fiancée’s tastes too. “The ring was so gorgeous and sparkling,” she added. “I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!”
For Zylka, marrying Hilton sounds like a dream come true. “Paris is the most beautiful and incredible woman both inside and out,” he said. “I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be marrying my dream girl. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.”
