As we close out the first week of January 2018, we have some fun news for viewers of Good Morning America and, in particular, fans of Lara Spencer. If you’ve been a longtime fan of Spencer’s work on GMA, as I have, then you know just how warm she is and fun to watch on the show. Now, it looks like Spencer is getting the equally warm and happy ending that she deserves. On Friday, Spencer’s reps confirmed to People magazine that she was engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Rick McVey.

McVey, 57, is a tech entrepreneur who has also been the low-key apple of Spencer’s eye for quite some time and, more recently, a favorite guest on Spencer’s Instagram. Back in July, Spencer posted this adorable photo of the two of them in Paris. I mean, how cozy and adorable do these two look together? Oh, I can’t even deal.

People notes that Spencer and McVey were introduced on a blind date that was set up by a mutual friend two years ago. It looks like it’s been nothing but bliss for the couple ever since, because they’ve been having the best time in each other’s company.

Those good times include attending football games, enjoying luxurious food and drink together and even hanging out with Bobby Flay and Giada De Laurentiis.

Spencer was previously married to CNN reporter and real estate broker David Haffenreffer for 15 years before the two officially divorced in 2015. This will also be McVey’s second marriage.
