While we’re all still basking in the afterglow of that amazing speech Oprah Winfrey gave at the 75th Golden Globes on Sunday, there are still a few people who are not having it. We’ve already talked about how people started calling for Oprah to run for president (and how that’s a terrible idea), but some people just aren’t drinking the Oprah tea, period.

Chief among those is Seal. He brought the salt to Instagram on Wednesday with a post implying that Oprah isn’t so innocent when it comes to that Harvey Weinstein-driven culture that preys on women in Hollywood.
The image Seal posted showed one photo of Oprah kissing Weinstein on the cheek, with “When you have been part of the problem for decades” written over it. The other panel shows a young white woman sitting between Oprah and Weinstein. It reads, “but suddenly they all think you are the solution.”

In the caption, Seal wrote, “Oh I forgot, that’s right…..you’d heard the rumours but you had no idea he was actually serially assaulting young stary-eyed actresses who in turn had no idea what they were getting into. My bad.”

Is Seal implying that Oprah knew about Weinstein’s behavior and did nothing? We seem to be entering a new age — one in which women are believed when they speak out about their abusers. But Juanita Broaddrick, a now 75-year-old retired nurse who has long alleged that former President Bill Clinton raped her while he was campaigning to become governor of Arkansas, also had some choice words for Oprah.
“Hey @Oprah #GoldenGlobes,” Broaddrick tweeted Monday. “Funny I’ve never heard you mention my name.”
Hey @Oprah#Goldenglobes. Funny I've never heard you mention my name. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?Guess not. My rapist was/is your friend, Bill Clinton https://t.co/zBSPnrqRzk

Broaddrick was likely referring to Oprah’s empowering speech about Recy Taylor, a black woman who was raped by six white men in 1944 and tirelessly sought justice, even though the men were never prosecuted for their crime.
Broaddrick continued, “CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?Guess not. My rapist was/is your friend, Bill Clinton.”

Hopefully, this is all just internet talk and we won’t ever have to confront the actual reality of Oprah making a presidential bid. But if she does decide to run, it’s clear that not everyone will be on her side.
