Well, it looks like Prince William and Prince Harry have yet another thing in common: both of their love stories with their respective partners have been deemed worthy of a Lifetime movie. It was announced over the second weekend of January that Lifetime would be turning Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story into a movie for the network, which means we not only have a royal wedding to look forward to, but we also have a royal movie to look forward to as well. Be still my beating heart, y’all!

According to Deadline, who first broke the news, the film is currently titled Harry & Meghan: The Royal Love Story. The love story in question is set to begin with their first date — a blind date set up by a mutual friend — and follow the pair through their year-and-a-half long-distance courtship and eventual engagement. Additionally, Deadline notes, “The film will examine the history of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from the moment they met after being set up by friends, through their initial courtship when they were able to keep their romance under wraps, and ultimately the intense global media attention surrounding their relationship and Meghan’s life as a divorced American actress.”

While the film was only mentioned briefly during Lifetime’s panel discussion at the 2018 Television Critics Association press tour, this is certainly a lot of tantalizing information to disclose right off the bat. There is no release date set for the film, but in all likelihood, this movie might come out later in 2018 at the earliest. It should also be noted that the film is currently casting, and it must have just recently begun at that because there is no word on anyone currently reading for the lead roles or in talks to finalize their casting. It will definitely be curious to see how Lifetime handles the casting on this one: Will they choose more prestige actors to reel into their next royal project? Or will they cast relative unknowns?

It will also be interesting to see what kind of tone the film strikes. Will it lean into the cheesy melodrama of Harry and Markle’s story? Or will there be efforts made to turn it into a solid drama? No shade, but let’s hope it doesn’t turn out the way Prince William’s Lifetime movie turned out — that’s all I’m saying.
