Seeing Chris Pratt and Anna Faris break up was pretty devastating to a lot of longtime fans of the couple. But at the end of the day, we love them, and we want them to be happy. So, since Faris has moved on with cinematographer Michael Barrett, it only makes sense that fans would be eager to see Pratt find a new someone special too.

And for a minute, it seemed like that could be the case. An eyewitness spotted Pratt and Olivia Munn on what they described as a “romantic” dinner date at a West Hollywood hotspot over the weekend, saying they made no attempt to hide their PDA.
“He had his arm around her at one point,” the onlooker told Entertainment Tonight. But is there any truth to that story? It doesn’t look like it.
Munn was quick to shut down relationship rumors by tweeting screenshots of a text conversation she had with Faris, assuring her there was no truth to the reports Munn and Pratt were dating.
“Hey there! Sooo… I would never respond to random tabloid stories, but since we know each other I wanted to reach out to you personally to tell you the story about me and Chris dating has 0% truth,” she wrote. “I’m sure you already know it’s not true, or maybe didn’t care either way, but I just wanted to reach out personally to tell you it’s not true.”
Faris responded, “Oh my god-this town is so fucking crazy-you are so sweet to text-I love you-having said that if you were my new sister in law I would be thrilled!… let’s please catch up soon.”

Munn also added a few of her own thoughts about the rumors.
“1. Not every woman is scorned and upset after a breakup,” she wrote. “2. Not every woman is ‘furious’ at another woman for dating her ex.”
She also took aim at some tabloid stories that hinted at a feud between Munn and Faris over Pratt, saying, “Women respect and love each other a lot more than some people think.”
Amen to that.
The way Munn and Faris handled this whole situation is getting some praise from other stars too. Faris’ Mom costar Allison Janneytold Entertainment Tonight on the SAG Awards red carpet that the whole interaction spoke to how much respect there still is between Faris and Pratt.
“Chris and Anna, from my point of view, still love and respect each other very much,” she said. “I think they would be happy, she would be happy for him to find someone, and she has found someone.”
Janney continued, “They’re just lovely people. And Olivia’s a lovely person too, so I’m glad they didn’t let a tabloid or whatever… I’m glad they put out the fire before it got out of hand.”

We’re glad this “feud” story has such a happy ending, but can we still root for Pratt and Munn? Because honestly, they would be the cutest couple. Never say never, right?
