Owen and Teddy ‘shippers, the day might finally come.
TVLine reports that Kim Raver, who played Dr. Teddy Altman on Grey’s Anatomy is coming back in the spring for a multi-episode arc. This follows her three-episode arc at the start of Season 14, when viewers watched her support Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) after his sister Megan’s return.

What might we expect from Teddy’s return? Does this mean Teddy and Owen will finally become an item now that Owen’s single?
In an interview with E! News, McKidd admitted he was open to the idea of Owen having some fun now that his marriage to Amelia is over. “He’s always chased this dream of being a father and having a child and having a family unit, and I think his sister coming back and all the guilt he carried with him for so many years has all been lifted,” McKidd said. “So suddenly he’s going, ‘Wait a minute. I can actually just enjoy myself a little bit and smell the roses and enjoy life’ instead of always chasing this dream of a family.”
ABC and Grey’s Anatomy have yet to confirm the news, and it’s unclear whether her arc will continue into Season 15.
In an interview with TVLine back in November, though, Raver addressed the possibility of returning to Grey’s, saying she’d “100 percent” jump at the chance to rejoin the show on a more permanent basis. “I love being part of this company,” she tells TVLine. “I love working with Shonda Rhimes. I love working with the cast. Literally for me it’s definitely home. I feel fortunate enough to be able to go off and join other companies, but every time I come back to Grey’s, it’s really like being home.”
Raver can also be seen on Designated Survivor, which heads into its second season on March 7, where she’ll reunite with former 24 costar Kiefer Sutherland.
Grey’s Anatomy airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC.
