Drew & Jonathan Scott Have Big Plans for the Next Couple of Years

HGTV knows when they have a good thing on their hands, which is why they’re not letting Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott go anywhere anytime soon. The Scotts are poised to become even bigger, more ingrained household names thanks to their recently renewed deal with HGTV, which ensures they will stay on the airwaves across multiple TV shows for the next several years. Can you dig that?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HGTV is deeply excited about the prospect of the Scott brothers bringing new episodes across their four (and maybe more in the future?) shows they currently have on the air: Property Brothers, Buying & Selling, Property BrothersAt Home and Brother vs. Brother. As Scripps Networks Interactive (parent company of HGTV) GM of U.S. programming and development Allison Page tells it: “[The Scott brothers’] work ethic and commitment means they can produce and star in an incredible amount of content in a very short period of time. It also ensures we have a premiere episode with them 52 weeks a year, which is an amazing feat and not something we’ve achieved with anyone else.”

In a joint statement to THR, the brothers sound just as excited for what lies ahead where their budding HGTV empire is concerned. “We’re beyond excited to continue the relationship with our incredibly talented friends at HGTV,” Drew remarked, with Jonathan adding, “We truly love what we do, and promise that even though we have a ridiculous amount of fun, we’ll actually get a little work done, too, and continue helping families through our shows.”

The Scott brothers have slowly been making Los Angeles their home base since they broke out into the mainstream, and it feels like this renewed HGTV deal is just the thing to seal the deal that America is about to get the Scott treatment. Add to this the fact that Chip and Joanna Gaines will soon be off the HGTV airwaves, and it feels like the road is open for the Scotts to come in with some new and exciting ideas. It will, without a doubt, be interesting to see what they choose to do next.
