For anyone who’s been wondering about Alec Baldwin after he went in for a hip-replacement surgery on Wednesday morning, his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, reports he’s doing well and already on his way to recovering. Baldwin underwent the successful operation early in the morning of Feb. 7, and Hilaria used social media to update his worried fans several hours later.

“Thank you for your kind wishes. I know many of you are anxious to hear how he is doing,” she wrote on Instagram. “We have been here since very early…All went well in surgery and I am with him in recovery,” she wrote alongside a photo of her hand holding his in his hospital bed, adding a yellow heart emoji and the hashtag “#wegotthis2018.”
On Tuesday night, she posted a sweet photo of herself and her husband hugging, writing another heartfelt caption about the busy, stressful day they’d had right before Alec was set to go into his surgery.

“It’s been a day…jury duty, crabby kids, vet, meetings, pancakes that went oh so wrong…but I’m ending it with an amazing experience watching Alec interview Michael Wolff for #heresthething,” she wrote. “And now we rest because tomorrow morning we are in the hospital bright and early for his hip to be replaced. Think good thoughts for us. We are gonna eat lightly, relax, and take deep breaths.”

It’s a good thing he got that taken care of now, since he’s going to need healthy hips when he and Hilaria welcome their fourth child this year. It’s a pretty eventful start to 2018 for the couple, so here’s hoping things settle down for them soon.
