These Big Little Lies Actors Celebrate Their Season 2 Return With Selfies

News that a second season of Big Little Lies is coming to HBO pretty much made my entire day when it was announced. I read Big Little Lies in its original book form and absolutely loved it, then binge-watched the series with my friends, giddily waiting to see the looks on their faces when the big twist was revealed. The way that story was adapted for the screen was amazing, and even hardcore fans of the book like myself were happy. That’s hard to pull off.

And the second season might be even more fun because this time, there’s no book to follow, which means we have no idea what’s coming this time around. The writers have the freedom to take the story wherever they want to and while we know that certain new characters — like Perry’s mother, played by Meryl Streep — will add some drama, it will no doubt be interesting to see how things pan out this time around. It’s going to be a surprise for everyone, and with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman still at the helm, we can bet that it’s going to be great no matter what happens.

While we still have no idea what’s coming in terms of the plot, we do know that our favorite characters are going to be back. Filming just started, and Shailene Woodley and Zoë Kravitz are already taking us behind the scenes as they transform back into the Monterey moms who make that show as great as it is.

While neither actor is giving anything away, they’re both doing a great job of getting us hyped to see Season 2. Now if they could just hurry up and wrap on filming so we can watch it already, that would be great.
