Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have moved quickly from rekindling their romance and keeping it on the DL to all but publicly declaring their love for one another as they not-so-slyly take their love to an international level. Sure, the couple has yet to actually confirm aloud or in print that they’re back together, but they’re not really making that much of an effort not to be seen together or at minimum not be in the same place at the same time to keep us all from reacting with a solid, “Hey, we see you guys. We get what you’re doing,” with one eyebrow raised. Like, if you’re going to keep things low-key on your own terms, guys, be more, well, low-key.

But alas, the romance vibes are kinda putting the blinders on Perry and Bloom at the moment; if they’re trying to keep suspicions at bay about the nature of their relationship, they’re not doing a very good job. Earlier this week, Perry had to press pause on her American Idol duties and head over to Tokyo for the Asia leg of her Witness tour. Oh, and she must have given Bloom an invite too, because just a few days ago, Bloom was spotted hopping on a flight to Tokyo. With no discernible reason for him to randomly go to Tokyo (unless he just spun a globe, closed his eyes and randomly plopped his finger on the spot that says, “Tokyo,” while trying to decide where to take a vacation), it feels like we can safely guess he wanted to head to the Japanese capital city to see Perry.
Between performances, it looks like Perry made time to hang out with Bloom and some of their friends. Video surfaced during their Tokyo fun times courtesy of a friend’s social media account (and reposted below via a third-party Instagram account), that shows Bloom dressed as Mario, and in another video, you can briefly make out Perry dressed as Luigi as she and Bloom join their friends in driving go-karts down a crowded Tokyo street.

But that wasn’t the only highlight from Perry and Bloom’s time in Tokyo thus far. In fact, during one of her Tokyo shows, Perry may have revealed to the crowd the pet name she uses for Bloom. According to Page Six, while Perry was introducing the track “Into Me You See” from her new album, Witness, she told the audience who the song was for: her “bubbadoo,” which fans on social media believe must refer to Bloom.

“I feel very loved and this next song is about being so loved and so seen that you never, ever, have felt this feeling before. This feeling of love,” she told the crowd, and later, right before launching into the song, she remarked, “This is called ‘Into Me You See’ for bubbadoo.”

Since Perry and Bloom were first spotted back together in August 2017, just a few months after breaking things off in March of that same year, the pair has been making serious efforts to see one another. Earlier this month, Perry was spotted with Bloom in Prague, ostensibly during a break in Bloom’s work schedule (he’s currently living there while filming his new TV series, Carnival Row). Since August, the two have been spotted together more frequently, and even though they might not be officially confirming it or changing their relationship status on social media, it’s fair to say these two are committed to giving their relationship another go.

To all this, I have to tip my cap to them both, TBH. Long-distance relationships are never easy, and considering the workloads these two have, it’s amazing they are able to make time to see one another. Here’s to hoping the second time’s the charm for them.
