Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are really making their split work for them. There’s been little in the way of public fights, shade or disputes since the couple officially parted ways back in April 2017. Instead, the former spouses have separated and have proceeded to rebuild their lives in various positive ways. They’re each still working hard as actors, with Affleck currently filming his new movie Triple Frontier and Garner finishing up promotions on her film Love, Simon. They’re also moving on in their personal lives, with Affleck currently dating Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus and Garner loving the single life and focusing all her love beams on her kids.

Now, Affleck and Garner’s lives could intersect in a more tangible way if Affleck follows through on purchasing a home near his ex-wife. People magazine reported on Monday that Affleck is contemplating the purchase a new home near Garner. This does notably differ from the tone of the report over at X17online (People‘s source on this story), which implies Affleck’s already purchased the home. Let’s just split the difference and say chances are looking good that he and Garner will be neighbors, shall we?
The home sounds like a pretty fantastic pad. Reportedly coming in at around $19 to 20 million and located in Los Angeles, the home boasts seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a screening room, a gym, a family room, a maid’s room, and the trappings of a typical Los Angeles home: pool, spa, guest house and barbecue. There’s no mention of whether or not Shookus will also be calling the plush new house her home — interesting.

While neither Affleck nor Garner has commented about his move, it’s easy to guess he’d be making the move for the couple’s three children (Violet, 12, Seraphina, 9, and Samuel, 6). Even though Affleck’s professional schedule — which included promoting Justice League — has kept him on the road quite a lot over the last year, he’s always made a concerted effort to co-parent with Garner and ensure the children’s lives wouldn’t be disrupted. Moving so close to Garner indicates he wants to continue this level of stability and keep things running as smoothly as possible for his kids.
Affleck and Garner have taken an especially focused approach to co-parenting since their split, with multiple reports over the last year showing the former spouses at various events together with their kids. This was the case as recently as Easter, when Garner joined Affleck and the kids in Hawaii. There’s something really nice about seeing everyone get along under circumstances like these.

It looks like Garner and Affleck’s lives are going to intersect once again — a healthy move for the benefit of the entire family.
