In the weeks since the announcement was made, Dewan had been spotted out and about, running errands and such in Los Angeles. On April 7, TMZ reported that Dewan had taken off her wedding ring. While this is certainly a notable move, it’s unclear whether she took it off for just the one day or if she meant to show that she was moving on. Meanwhile, Tatum was seen with his ring still on while he was out with the couple’s daughter, Everly, not too long ago. He has yet to return to social media since announcing the split.

To announce their split, Dewan and Tatum both posted the same photo to their respective Instagram accounts on April 2. In this joint statement, they explained the reasons behind their split. “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple,” they wrote. “We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision — just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”
