It’s been a few weeks since Property Brothers star Jonathan Scott split up with his girlfriend of three years, Jacinta Kuznetsov. Now, it looks like we’re finally getting the scoop on why these two called it quits. Interestingly, the information is coming from Jonathan’s twin brother, Drew Scott.
While speaking with Us Weekly, Drew opened up about how he’s supporting Jonathan during this tough time and why the split happened. “Our family is really close and we’re all here to support each other,” Drew explained. “I mean, the main thing for him and Jacinta, they knew that they weren’t right together. They’re good people, but they’re not right together.”

Drew’s comment adds a bit more insight into the couple’s dynamic in the wake of Jonathan’s announcement of the split. On April 6, Jonathan wrote on his Instagram, “There’s no drama or negativity; no jealousy or hate. Not even sadness or sorrow. Our memories are filled with joy and we will continue to advocate for each other as friends wherever we go.”

Jonathan has remained pretty quiet about the split since then. To Jonathan’s and Kuznetsov’s credit, if there was ever discord in their relationship, they never made it known to the public, and keeping a low profile right now will help curb any rumors of drama.

Meanwhile, he and Jonathan (who will no doubt have a major role in Drew’s wedding) get to throw themselves into their various television projects, which show no sign of letting up now that their new multiyear deal with HGTV has been announced.
