Oh, boy. DJ Khaled is on the receiving end of quite a bit of backlash this weekend, thanks to an interview he gave in 2015 that has recently resurfaced. The cause of the commotion? Khaled insisted, among other things, that he would never give oral sex to a woman — even though he fully expects to get it. Unsurprisingly, plenty of people have thoughts about this. Westworld‘s Evan Rachel Wood is one of them, and she took to Twitter to call out Khaled.

“You’re seriously missing out man. Take it from someone who has pride and thoroughly enjoys pleasuring women. You should grow up,” Wood, who is openly bisexual, tweeted, linking out to an article on The Root discussing Khaled’s controversial commentary.

Looking at the context of Khaled’s 2015 statement won’t help him out here.
“A woman should praise the man — the king,” Khaled said on The Breakfast Show. “If you holding it down for your woman, I feel like the woman should praise.” Sure, the argument could be made that this comment isn’t entirely problematic. There isn’t anything wrong with a woman supporting and empowering her husband (although, to clarify, it should be the woman’s choice to do so).
Even though Khaled said a man should praise his “queen” too, however, the DJ’s definition of praise is lacking. “But you know, my way of praising is called, ha-ha, ‘How was dinner,’ ‘You like the house you living in?’, ‘You like all them clothes you getting?’ ‘I’m taking care of your family, I’m taking care of my family…'” he said. “You know, I’m putting in the work.”

However, for all Khaled’s bragging about all the work he does, there’s at least one job he isn’t doing. When the host asked him to clarify his comments about not performing oral sex on women, he responded, “Nahhh. Never! I don’t do that.” Naturally, the “king” expects his “queen” to do so, though.
“You gotta understand, I’m the don. I’m the king,” he said. “It’s different rules for men. We the king, so there’s some things y’all might not wanna do, [but] it gotta get done. I just can’t do what you want me to do. I just can’t.”
Khaled’s comments did not go over well on social media, where Wood and many others addressed the royally misogynistic remarks.

While Khaled hasn’t responded to the resurfaced interview or its scrutiny directly, he did post a photo on Instagram of himself toasting with his wife, Nicole Tuck, as the couple vacationed. “My queen my best friend I love you! I love you and @asahdkhaled so much! Family!” Khaled captioned the pic.

Hmm, something tells us that — despite the big game Khaled talks — Tuck doesn’t let her husband get away with too much. Consider, for a moment, this video of Khaled’s tough wife working out.
Get him, girl! Now that the two of you are working out together, perhaps it’s time to whip Khaled into shape in the bedroom too.
