The escalating bitterness between Jesse Williams and his estranged wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, is unlikely to diminish anytime soon. In fact, it appears the strained relationship between the two just got even worse — Williams is fighting back against his ex’s request for more spousal support, asking the court to deny the increase.

Court documents obtained by E! News reportedly reveal that Williams says Drake-Lee “exaggerates many of our expenses.” Williams offered context, stating, “We agreed that our children should live a simple life without wasting money on extravaganza.”
It’s clear there is no love lost between the two — on both sides.
“A constant theme throughout our divorce proceedings has been Aryn marginalizing me as a father,” Williams said in the documents, going on to add, “Aryn continues to engage in this type of behavior and punish me for having a career and working hard to provide for our family.”
At present, Williams pays Drake-Lee $50,695 per month in child support for their kids, Sadie and Maceo. Per TMZ, one of the “wildly inflated” expenses included in Drake-Lee’s filing is $25,000 per month for college savings for the children, who are 2 and 4.

Given the kids will be 18 when they go to college and outside the legal purview of the court, Williams considers Drake-Lee’s request both excessive and out-of-bounds. He alleges that it’s all part of Drake-Lee’s attempt to beef up her spousal support — they were married less than five years, which means she will only receive spousal support for half of that time.
TMZ’s sources say Williams is more than willing to pay all of the kids’ private school expenses and any other current living expenses. However, he ultimately finds Drake-Lee’s demands “absurd and greedy, and in no way related to the children or their needs.”
Recent reports in Page Six and other outlets claim Williams is now dating SportsNet New York anchor Taylor Rooks.

However, Williams maintains that — despite rumors he cheated on Drake-Lee with Minka Kelly — he was never unfaithful to his former wife.
“I was in a relationship 13 years, 13 real years, not five years, not seven years, 13 years,” he said in Jay-Z’s “Footnotes for 4:44” video. “And all of a sudden motherfuckers are writing think pieces that I somehow threw a 13-year relationship — like the most painful experience I’ve had in my life with a person I’ve loved with all my heart — that I threw a person and my family in the trash because a girl I work with is cute.”
